Kangana Ranaut slams dating apps and live-in relationships in her latest interview, sparking heated debate across social media. The Bollywood actress and politician called dating apps the “gutter of society” and argued that live-in setups are unsafe for women. Known for her unapologetic opinions, Kangana emphasized the importance of marriage and traditional values while criticizing modern relationship trends.

Kangana Ranaut on Dating Apps

When asked if she would ever consider joining a dating app, Kangana gave a blunt response.

“I have never wanted to be on dating apps. That is the true gutter of our society. Everybody has a need, be it financial, physical, or anything else. But how do we address those needs? That is the real question. Do we do it in an elegant manner, or do we do it crudely, like going out every night in search of someone? That is what dating apps have become now, and it’s a horrible situation,” she said.

Kangana went on to call the practice of swiping on dating platforms a “neech” (low-level) activity. She emphasized that she could never think of interacting with people who depend on such platforms for companionship.

“Losers Go on Dating Apps” – Kangana’s Strong Words

The actress further sharpened her criticism, stating that successful people don’t use dating apps.

“You wouldn’t find people like me on dating apps. You’ll only find losers there—the people who haven’t achieved anything in their life. If you can’t meet anyone through your work, college, or family, and you’ve ended up on a dating app, then imagine what sort of character you are,” Kangana remarked.

According to her, people who turn to dating apps often lack confidence and seek validation. She stressed that good partners can be found in natural social settings like workplaces, colleges, or through traditional arranged marriages.

When the host suggested that people should be free to make their own choices, Kangana countered, saying, “Why are you afraid to express your real opinion? Would you wish the same for your younger brother or sister? I don’t think any regular person who is secure in life would want to be on a dating app.”

Kangana Ranaut on Live-In Relationships

The conversation then shifted towards live-in relationships, and Kangana was equally vocal in expressing her disapproval. She argued that live-in setups put women at greater risk compared to traditional marriages.

“Marriages are very important in our society. Marriage is a promise where the man commits to staying loyal to his wife. These days, you hear new ideas about live-in relationships. But throughout my life, I have seen that these are not women-friendly things,” Kangana said.

She added that women in live-in relationships often face complications without the same level of security or support as in marriages. Citing issues such as unplanned pregnancies, she asked, “Who is going to help you get an abortion? If you get pregnant tomorrow during a live-in relationship, who is going to take care of you?”

Kangana’s Stand on Cultural Values

Kangana’s statements highlight her belief in preserving traditional Indian institutions like marriage. She insisted that despite modernization, some values must remain untouched. While acknowledging that live-in relationships are legal, she stressed that legality doesn’t always mean they are beneficial for women.

“No matter how much we empower ourselves or educate ourselves, scientifically speaking, men can compartmentalize and women can’t. That’s the truth,” she added.

A Divisive Opinion That Sparks Debate

Kangana Ranaut’s remarks have divided opinions on social media. While some agreed with her concerns about the emotional and social challenges of dating apps and live-ins, others criticized her views as outdated and judgmental. Many netizens believe that her comments reinforce stereotypes about women’s choices and fail to acknowledge changing dynamics in relationships.

Nevertheless, Kangana has never shied away from speaking her mind. Her latest statements continue to fuel discussions about love, relationships, and societal expectations in a rapidly modernizing India.

Whether one agrees with her or not, Kangana’s bold opinions ensure that she remains at the center of conversations about culture, tradition, and women’s empowerment in Bollywood and beyond
